I was shopping at one of my favorite antique shops and found some vintage jewelry that I really liked. I knew there was something I could make out of them, a few weeks and some playing around later, and I knew what I would do and what I would call it! Springtime in Paris started with an old cameo and a few charms and turned into one of my best collections yet!

No Diva is ever completely domesticated. We are unpredictable, spontaneous, and free spirited.
I am by no means Martha Stewart...don't really want to be. All uptight and everything neat and orderly. However I'm not a complete slob either!

But we all need a nudge now and then to keep our house in some semblance of order and not complete and utter chaos. How many times have you been unfashionably late b/c you couldn't find your earrings, or purse, or keys!!
Or someone decides to pop in after a weekend of endless engagements and your house has become the drop zone, looking like a war torn area!
So I am adding a new section to my site to help us all get a bit of our sanity back! The Not - So Domestic Diva.

Now some of you Diva's could care less about all of that. Some reason...that's the way I am and everyone else will just have to deal w/ it. And that is fine as long as you are ok with it, along with the county health department and your place is not a fire hazard!! He he. To each her own, I say.

But for those interested, or even those that have practically mastered this enigma, Please lend me any feedback as far as tips and suggestions on how to make it easier on Divas running a household.

In the meantime, Visit this newest addition in the top menu and feel free to try the tips I have listed. And try to have fun with it!

I found a new website with products that are Divalicious!!!!
Shabby Apple has clothing for Divas, little Divas, and Divas in training!! I had to investigate this company to see if it is worthy of being mentioned here, and from what I have found, it is definately Diva material! They are a partner with Unitus, a non-profit orginization that helps women in poverty. Shabby Apple donates 5% of their sales to poverty stricken women in India. When you purchase a dress, it comes with a tag detailing a story of one of the many women helped by the program.
The clothes are classic...not too trendy, not too loud, but are gorgeous in their simplicity! And of course would go terrific with my Jewelry! Pair with a butler bag and you have definately got your groove on!!!!

My favorite product right now is their Breathless shoe, which is on sale right now for $64!

Well, what are you waiting for...go SHOPPING!!!!

Ok I have never been someone who was concerned about what I ate, other than fat and calories, and have actually thought people who where totally organic were wasting their time, and kind of blowing things out of proportion.
"It doesn't matter if you eat organic or not" I thought, "cancer and other illnesses can come from anywhere, so why waste your life and time worrying about it."

Well, all of that is changing now.

I have been reading a book and it is FANTASTIC!!! I think everyone, especially women, should read this! It is called Master Your Metabolism and is written by Jillian Michaels - Trainer on the Biggest Loser.

She said in an interview that one reason she started research on this was because she wanted the girls in TBL to lose like the me...because as we all know, men lose weight easier and faster than women, well Ali Vincint was the first woman to win and that was when Jillian began using what she had learned, since then another woman won last season and this season the girls have kicked the crud out of the men.

I also read a review from a woman who suffers from PCOS, like me, and she said she could tell a difference in her weightloss. So I decided I needed to find out what all the hype was about. And if you suffer from Diabetes, thyroid disorders, heart disease etc.. this book is a MUST!!!!
I bought the book last friday and am nearly done with it. I can't put it down it is so fascinating!
It is not a weightoss book per say, it is more of a lifestyle change book. She talks alot about the benefits of organics and why alot of the food out there is, as she puts it, poison. And after reading her book, I can honestly say I will never look at another bag of doritos the same way again.

Now, let me say right here that I am a very skeptical person. I always look for the profit angle when I read stuff like this, and I would not be surprised at all if Jillian came out with a new organic cookbook, or even her own organic food line.
So I have also looked for the things conveniently left out, or studies that were obscure, and seeing what the experts in the medical community have to say.
The only ones that argue against these findings are people/companies that have a vested interest in shutting her, and others like her , up.
The more I read the more I found that experts, and medical community agree with her!! I even watched a show yesterday called the DR.s ( never seen it before, but heard of it) I just happened to catch it and they were taliking about Autism and how simple changes in their kid's diet made SIGNIFICANT improvements. Jennie Macarthy was on and said that as soon as she took dairy out of her sons diet, he was able to make eye contact with her again. And after she removed Gluten, he was able to speak!!!! THIS IS HUGE!!!

I will get off my soap box now. ;)
I hope you will go and at least look into the book.

hugs ~
Heather
